Guild Rules & Guidelines

The following rules have been written to foster a fun and enjoyable environment for all guild members. We are human, and we all make mistakes, you may not think that rules need to be this specific but it seems they are required and that's why all organisations with a lot of people in them have rules of this nature. Most are completely common sense and some are guidelines. If you are unsure of any rule or guideline please don't hesitate to contact me.

RULES AND GUIDELINES

Some of the items listed below are rules, others are guidelines, it should be obvious which is which.

Section 1. BEHAVIOUR

  1. Treat all guild members with respect and courtesy, regardless of their level, experience, or background. Avoid any form of harassment, discrimination, or offensive language.

  2. Maintain a mature and responsible attitude. Avoid drama, gossip, and unnecessary conflicts.

  3. Don't insult people (in any language) you would be surprised how many people speak multiple languages.

  4. Offer helpful advice and support to fellow guild members rather than criticism.

  5. Don't pressure people to do something they don't want to do, if you can't find enough people for your event use the group finder.

  6. When you are in zone chat you are an ambassador for Skyrim Red Shirts, don't bring the guild into disrepute.

  7. Keep religion and politics out of all but private consenting chats. We don't want to hear your views (note that ZOS AI may monitor even your private chats in the game).

  8. If you have an argument with a guildmate, sort it out like adults, learn to compromise, and be pragmatic. The guild leader only wants to hear about serious transgressions.

  9. Racist attacks will see you removed from the guild, blacklisted and reported to ZOS.

  10. Gender-based attacks will see you removed from the guild, blacklisted and reported to ZOS.

  11. If you are kicked from the guild you will also be removed from Discord and banned.

Section 2. Trials, Arenas and Dungeons - Group Content

  1. Please ensure your inventory has enough space before beginning the raid.

  2. Make sure you have enough potions and food before beginning the event.

  3. Do not speed run unless it has been agreed to speed run before starting.

  4. Let the tank take the lead.

  5. Please try to read and become familiar with difficult mechanics before trying them.

  6. If you are the raid leader and people die often, watch your temper; otherwise, they may not come with you again (see behaviour above).

  7. Events will start on time unless we are short of players and have to use a group finder. If you turn up 10 minutes late you may miss the start.

  8. Don't expect people to wait for you to finish what you are doing, you are either available or not.

  9. If you are running the quest in a dungeon ensure that everyone knows.

  10. If someone is running the quest allow extra time to help them complete it.

  11. Mistakes happen, people are learning and may be new to the guild. Any offensive remarks to another player will see you removed from the group and you will forfeit your Guild Points, you may wish to leave the guild at this point

Section 2.1 Guild Points (GP)

  1. All Guild Points must be entered via the Guild Points Tool found here

  2. Only events that the tool can offer you are available for GP

  3. If you think an event is rewarded too highly or not highly enough contact an officer to discuss or post on discord

  4. When you enter an event you have to digitally sign for the event, this means what you are posting is accurate and truthful and you put your name to this.

  5. Every event is logged in real-time to a sheet you cannot see, so it is easy for me to check who has done what and where. A bot that scans the store also takes screenshots of the roster every 5 minutes this includes locations of members, so it's easy to see if someone is in a dungeon they claim to be in and with whom, should any investigation be required.

  6. In order to access the GP Tool and the Leaderboard Live you are required to be signed in to the website as this is a members-only tool.

  7. To use the tool you have to permit Google to access your account when running scripts, this sounds ominous but it's not, it's to prevent malicious scripts from accessing your data. The javascript used in the tool are simple scripts designed for moving data from one sheet to another. The full code of the scripts is available in the #website section of the Discord, you can see it does nothing but access the sheet. There are three scripts to allow in total, one for uploading the points, one for creating a new player and one for undoing the last update should you make a mistake.

  8. After an investigation, anyone found to be deliberately adding events which they didn't do in order to gain a GP advantage (in other words cheating) will be removed from the guild regardless of their position.

  9. Mistakes can happen no matter how foolproof a developer thinks their system is. If you think you've made a mistake and can't Undo it, send the details to gpmistake@timeless-moments.co.uk or DM on Discord to @mathius_mordred

Section 3. PvP

  1. We are well aware that frustrations can boil over in PvP so here are a few simple rules to bear in mind.

  2. Do not teabag defeated players.

  3. Do not duel people who do not want to be duelled.

  4. In Cyrodiil stick with the raid leader and go where they say, don't go wandering off on your own quest.

  5. Try to have everything you need for Cyrodiil before the event begins, if you save a PVP character to the armourer it also saves your quick slot wheel, so have it stocked with ballistas, oil, repair kits etc.

  6. No excessive trash talk or gloating, as these can also create a negative experience for others.

Section 4. BANK

  1. If you have bank access (Traders and higher) please remember to deposit useful items from time to time.

  2. Please don't withdraw more than 5 items at a time. To withdraw 5 from a stack of 50, withdraw all, split in your inventory and put 45 back.

  3. If you donate an amount that is a multiplier of 10,000, e.g. 60,000 it will be seen as a raffle ticket purchase. To donate without purchasing a raffle ticket make it a different amount e.g. 60,001. Raffle tickets are purchased in multiples of 10,000 gold, so if you want to buy 5 tickets you donate 50K to the guild bank. The raffle is drawn on Friday evening and then restarted for the next week. Everyone can enter.

  4. Please do not donate companion gear unless purple colour (Epic).

Section 5. Trader Guidelines

  1. Try to use an addon that tells you the going rate for an item, we suggest Tamriel Trade Centre.

  2. Don't list items at ridiculously high or low prices, you will lose money either way.

  3. After listing, if you have the TTC addon, make sure the client is running, you scan the guild and then use /reloadui to send the data to the website.

  4. See the selling guides on the website

Section 6. DISCORD

  1. Sometimes it gets really busy on Discord so it can also get noisy. Please don't talk over other people.

  2. If we are running a trial, please allow the raid leader to speak without having to interrupt your fascinating story.

  3. Watch your language and tone of voice, basically, be respectful once again.

  4. Please try to post in the appropriate channel.

  5. Ensure you have selected the correct role for your game or you will not see much of relevance.

  6. No NSFW posts.

  7. Do not spam content.

  8. Avoid excessive @mentions.

  9. Links to other sites may be immediately removed without explanation.

  10. Screenshots may be immediately removed without explanation.

  11. Gross, abusive, pornographic and similar posts and or screenshots will be immediately removed and the Discord member will be banned and kicked from the guild.

Section 7. COMPLAINTS

  1. Complaints must be backed up by evidence in the form of screenshots of the chat, hearsay will not result in a written warning unless two or more people also bear witness.

  2. If you are going to record the audio of something being said, you must tell everyone that you are now recording audio. This can then be submitted as evidence.

  3. Send your complaint with evidence to complaints@timeless-moments.co.uk, you may also DM @Matt Johnson

Section 8. DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS

  1. Transgressions from most rules will result in a written warning and a demotion to Regular for 1 week.

  2. The second written warning will be the final warning and demotion to regular for one month.

  3. The third written warning will be dismissal from the guild.

  4. Written warnings will stay on your record for six months after which the record will be wiped clean.

  5. For the most serious offences, members may be immediately removed from the guild without any written warning, but strong evidence will be required.

Section 9. ABSENCE

  1. Guild members absent for 3 months or more will be removed from the guild

  2. It is not necessary to inform anyone that you are away on holiday but you may if you wish

  3. If you return to the game after a long period away, you are welcome to rejoin if there is space to do so, if not you will be added to the waiting list.
